Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said intelligence indicates Russia is preparing additional ballistic missile attacks, as he urged international partners to provide more air-defense interceptors and increase pressure on Moscow.

In an address published Oct. 29, Zelenskyy said Russian strikes on Dnipro, Chernihiv and Kremenchuk killed 19 people and injured dozens. He said civilians were among the victims, including two 15-year-old girls killed in Chernihiv. Ukrainian officials also reported injuries in Kremenchuk after a strike near residential buildings.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine was seeking faster sanctions targeting components used in Russia’s ballistic missile production. He also called for additional interceptor missiles, particularly for Patriot air-defense systems, saying they were needed to protect civilians from potential attacks.

The president said Ukraine’s forces had recently destroyed two Russian Su-34 aircraft and struck an Iskander missile launcher, without providing further operational details. He also thanked the United Kingdom and the Netherlands for support and said Kyiv would continue working with partners to strengthen its defensive capabilities.
