Police in Charleville have charged a 30-year-old man with possession of a significant amount of methylamphetamine over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 24, when officers responded to reports from the public and conducted a search at a local motel. During the search, authorities discovered around 28 grams of methylamphetamine, a substantial sum of money, drug paraphernalia, and other related items. The 30-year-old man from Roma has been charged with various offenses, including possession of property suspected of being proceeds of an offense under the Drugs Misuse Act, possession of dangerous drugs above schedule, possession of items for use in the commission of a crime, possession of utensils or pipes, and an offense related to the purchase or possession of certain medicines or hazardous poisons. The individual was scheduled to appear in the Charleville Magistrates Court on May 26.
