Queensland police have launched a search and rescue operation for 59-year-old Craig Michael Trethewey after his vehicle was found abandoned near Stonehenge on October 4. A man mustering livestock in the area alerted police after finding the purple Honda Jazz in a dry floodway about one kilometre from the road. Investigators believe the vehicle had previously sustained flood damage and had been stationary for some time. Police said Trethewey was last seen driving the vehicle, which bears Queensland registration 832AT5, at about 8:15 a.m. on March 7, 2025. He has not been heard from since, and police and his family are concerned for his welfare. Anyone with information about Trethewey’s whereabouts is urged to contact Policelink on 131 444.
