Erasmus+ Funding Plan Heads to Vote

The European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education is set to vote on the proposed Erasmus+ programme for 2028-2034, followed by a press conference with rapporteur Bogdan Zdrojewski on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The event will take place at 11 a.m. CEST in Brussels.

Zdrojewski, a Polish member of the European People’s Party, is expected to outline his report, which calls for more than €47 billion in funding at current prices. The report also advocates clear allocations for each policy area.

The proposed programme would combine Erasmus+ with the European Solidarity Corps and remain the European Union’s main funding instrument for education, youth, volunteering and sport. Accredited journalists may attend the press conference in person or participate remotely, with interpretation available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish. The event will also be livestreamed and recorded by the Parliament.
