Queensland Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 50-year-old man died in Fernvale on September 27. Emergency services were called to Stoneywood Street at about 5:55 p.m. following reports that a vehicle had struck a man. The Fernvale man was found unresponsive and was declared dead at the scene. A crime scene was established, and a 45-year-old woman known to the man was taken into custody. She was assisting police with inquiries, and no further details about the circumstances of the death have been released.
