Operation Reldor Nets 22 Charges

Queensland police have charged 22 people with 59 offences following a month-long operation targeting alleged drug-related and other criminal activity in the Gracemere Police Division.

Operation Reldor involved nine search warrants, vehicle intercepts and roadside enforcement activities. Officers seized dangerous drugs and weapons during the searches, while police conducted more than 730 roadside breath and drug tests and 24 wandings. Three traffic infringement notices were issued.

Police said a vehicle intercepted on Breakspear Street at about 11 p.m. on August 16 allegedly contained methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA tablets, cannabis, a taser, two knives and two batons. A 39-year-old Gracemere man was charged with multiple drug and weapons offences and is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on September 14.

Gracemere police officer in charge Sergeant Jacob Bates said the operation had delivered significant results for the community. He said police would continue working to disrupt alleged criminal activity and improve road safety.
