A 74-year-old Canadian woman has died after a moped and car collided at Horseshoe Bay on Magnetic Island in Queensland on September 6, police said. The car driver was not physically injured. Emergency services were called to Horseshoe Bay Road, between Heath Street and Henry Lawson Street, at about 11:50 a.m. The moped rider was declared dead at the scene. The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. Traffic delays are expected in the Horseshoe Bay area, and motorists have been advised to consider travelling by foot.
