Queensland police have charged 21 people with 57 offences following a three-day operation targeting drug-related activity and illegal weapons across the Darling Downs District. Operation Lionrock was conducted in Inglewood, Warwick, Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi. Police said the operation focused on identifying offenders, disrupting illicit drug activity and addressing the possession of unlawful weapons. On August 26, detectives from the Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a Stanthorpe property. Officers allege they found an explosive substance in a rear shed, along with homemade weapons including a crossbow, conducted energy device and slam gun, as well as drugs and drug utensils. A 56-year-old Stanthorpe man faces multiple charges, including drug supply, weapons offences, drug possession, possession of a knife and unlawful dealing with explosives or noxious substances. Acting Superintendent Kelly Hanlen said police would continue targeting offences affecting community safety and urged people to report information about drug dealing or illegal weapons.
