Queensland police have charged a 24-year-old woman following a fatal traffic crash at Mothar Mountain earlier this year that killed a woman walking her dog. Police allege the 62-year-old Mothar Mountain woman was struck by a blue Honda Jazz on O’Keefe Road at about 7 a.m. on April 28. The vehicle was allegedly driven by a woman from Southside. The pedestrian suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. Following an investigation, officers from the Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit charged the Southside woman on September 2. She faces one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and one count of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
