A 50-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash at Atkinsons Dam in Queensland on May 20, police said. The crash occurred on Atkinsons Dam Road at about 1:10 p.m. when a white Mazda and a grey Nissan X-Trail collided. The Mazda driver died at the scene. A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman who were passengers in the Mazda were taken to separate Brisbane hospitals in stable conditions. A five-month-old boy, also travelling in the Mazda, was assessed by paramedics and was not physically injured. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital as a precaution. The 72-year-old driver of the Nissan was also transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in stable condition. Queensland Police Service’s Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
