Gladstone detectives have charged 15 people with 50 drug- and property-related offences following a two-day operation targeting alleged offending in Agnes Water and Deepwater. Police said firearms and dangerous drugs were seized during warrant searches conducted on May 5 and 6. At about 1 p.m. on May 5, officers searched a property on Cross Road and allegedly located two firearms, ammunition and dangerous drugs. A 40-year-old woman, two men aged 32 and 36, and others were issued notices to appear for offences including unlawful entry, receiving tainted property, drug possession and production, and possession of drug-related items. The following morning, detectives searched an address on Allingham Way in Agnes Water, where they allegedly found dangerous drugs. A 35-year-old man was charged with possessing methylamphetamine and gamma hydroxybutyric acid, while a 70-year-old woman was charged with producing and possessing dangerous drugs and utensils. The pair are due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 8, while other accused people are scheduled to appear on June 15. The arrests formed part of Operation Yankee Forge, a six-month statewide initiative targeting high-harm and high-volume offences, including unlawful vehicle use, unlawful entry and robbery.
