Samsung Electronics outlined its strategy for the next generation of television during a Visual Display Deep Dive session at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The company said it plans to combine advanced artificial intelligence, premium display technologies and connected-home features to expand the role of TVs beyond traditional viewing.

The centerpiece of Samsung’s strategy is Vision AI Companion, a platform designed to make televisions more conversational, personalized and responsive. The system is intended to understand what viewers are watching, anticipate their needs and provide contextual information on screen. Samsung said the platform will be integrated across nearly its entire 2026 TV lineup.

The company also highlighted its premium display plans, including Micro RGB and OLED televisions, as well as expanded use of mini LED technology. Samsung presented a 130-inch Micro RGB model, describing it as an industry-first technical achievement, and said ultra-large screens would help create more immersive viewing experiences at home and in other settings.

The session was led by SW Yong, president of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, with additional details presented by Hun Lee, an executive vice president of the division. Samsung said its approach is focused on combining picture quality and hardware performance with smarter, more connected experiences as it marks 20 consecutive years as the world’s leading TV brand.
