A 33-year-old Narangba man has been charged with attempted murder and seven other offences following an alleged shooting in Aspley, Queensland, on August 25. A 24-year-old Aspley man was found with two gunshot wounds and taken to hospital in serious condition.

Police attended Centre Street at about 10:50 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident. Detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch later executed a search warrant at a Richards Road home in Narangba on August 28.

The accused was charged with attempted murder, contravening an order relating to information needed to access electronically stored information, possessing restricted items, obstructing police and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs. He was scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 29.
