A 26-year-old Glenvale man has been charged after Queensland police allegedly seized about $35,000 in cash, stolen property and weapon parts during a search of a Toowoomba property on August 14. Police said officers executed a search warrant at the Glenvale property about 8 a.m. and allegedly found the cash, a firearm silencer and other items. The man has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons, as well as one count each of possessing a detached magazine without a licence and receiving tainted property. He is scheduled to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on September 2. The arrest came during a three-day Darling Downs District operation targeting a range of offences. Police said officers carried out 10 search warrants between August 12 and 14, resulting in 29 people being charged with 39 offences.
