Samsung Electronics has partnered with Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum to add 43 Austrian and European masterpieces to the Samsung Art Store. The collection became available Aug. 18 on compatible Samsung televisions, with works presented in 4K resolution. The selection includes Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s “The Tower of Babel,” Johannes Vermeer’s “The Art of Painting,” Gustav Klimt’s “Nuda Veritas” and Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s “Summer.” It also features works by artists including Rubens, Velázquez, Caravaggio, Titian, Rembrandt, Raphael, Canaletto and Bernardo Bellotto. Samsung said the partnership expands its portfolio of collaborations with major cultural institutions, including the Louvre in Paris, the Prado Museum in Madrid and Oslo’s MUNCH Museum. The Art Store offers thousands of works that users can select by style, period or mood for display on compatible Samsung TVs. The Kunsthistorisches Museum, which opened in 1891, houses the former Habsburg collections and the world’s largest group of paintings by Bruegel the Elder. Access to the new collection requires a Samsung Art Store subscription, and availability is limited to supported 2025 and 2026 Samsung TV models.
