Two Charged Over Bethania Murder

Queensland police have charged two people with murder following a four-year investigation into the disappearance of a 46-year-old man from Beenleigh in March 2022.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a property on Old Trafford Road, Bethania, on August 17 and allegedly located human remains. A crime scene was established, and officers from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch remained at the property as investigations continued.

A 52-year-old Bethania man and a 45-year-old Windaroo woman were each charged with one count of murder and one count of interfering with a corpse. Both were scheduled to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 18.
