Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian servicemen on Aug. 13 during the opening of a working trip to the Ivano-Frankivsk region. At Memorial Square in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zelenskyy placed memorial candles at a stele dedicated to fallen Ukrainian warriors and observed a minute of silence for the country’s defenders. The memorial was opened in August 2021. Since then, the site has hosted the “Bell of Memory” commemorative ceremony each month to honor those killed in the defense of Ukraine.
