Hyundai Motor Group is accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence across its operations as it prepares for what it describes as the “Physical AI” era, the company said in a newsroom update published Aug. 12, 2026. The initiative covers research and development, manufacturing, customer services and internal business functions.

The group said it is building an organization-wide foundation for AI transformation through new working methods and a data-driven operating environment. Its Global One Data Pipeline is intended to support collaboration, knowledge sharing and the use of data across its global operations.

Hyundai also plans to expand employee access to generative AI tools, including its H Chat Pro platform. The company said AI is already being applied to improve productivity and customer value, with examples including a Crash Safety AI Assistant, an AI Automated Recognition Service, the E-FOREST: POLARIS manufacturing initiative and AI-powered customer support solutions.

The group said its next phase will draw on data and operational expertise from vehicles, robotics and manufacturing. Hyundai described the effort as preparation for systems that can connect digital intelligence with physical-world operations.
