The website provided no further details about the discussion. The call was described as part of Zelenskyy’s ongoing contacts with Ukraine’s allies and partners. In a separate address later that day, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces had struck another facility in Russia’s oil-refining industry. He identified the site as being in Tobolsk, Siberia, more than 2,500 kilometers away, and said further long-range strikes would demonstrate to Russia that peace was necessary.
