A 22-year-old man was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash on Gregory Developmental Road near Greenvale in north Queensland on August 9. The man, who was the sole occupant, was airlifted to Townsville University Hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition. Queensland Police said a white Nissan Patrol was travelling west toward Charters Towers between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. when it left the roadway and struck a tree. Police and emergency services were called to the scene at about 6:30 a.m. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and has appealed for witnesses, including anyone who saw the vehicle before the crash or has relevant dashcam footage.
