Ukraine Reports North Korean Missile Strike

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said preliminary assessments indicate that Russian forces used a North Korean ballistic missile in a strike on Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, in the Dnipro region. The missile reportedly hit a residential building, killing children and their parents, according to an address published on the president’s official website on July 30, 2026.

Zelenskyy said further examinations would be conducted to verify the missile’s origin. He also reported continued rescue and recovery operations in Lviv and the Dnipro region following Russian attacks. The president expressed condolences to the families of those killed.

In the address, Zelenskyy called for additional international pressure on Russia and increased supplies of air-defense missiles, particularly for Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T and HAWK systems. He said Ukraine’s partners should provide practical assistance beyond statements of condemnation.

Zelenskyy also said he met with senior military and security officials to coordinate Ukraine’s response and prepare further strikes against Russian targets. He announced plans for a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on regional resilience, while officials reviewed damage to railways, logistics infrastructure and communities near the front line and border.
