According to Ukraine’s presidential office, the leaders exchanged details of their meetings in the United States and reviewed the prospects for further diplomatic engagement. Stubb praised Ukraine’s success in applying long-range sanctions and said Russia’s battlefield losses and economic difficulties were increasingly evident. The talks also focused on protecting Ukrainian civilians from Russian strikes and on decisions that could strengthen Ukraine’s defense. Zelenskyy thanked Stubb for his understanding of Ukraine’s needs and said missiles for Patriot air-defense systems were required on a daily basis.
