Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia may launch a new large-scale missile attack within 48 hours, citing intelligence from Ukraine and its international partners. He urged residents to follow air-raid alerts and take precautions.

Zelenskyy said a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv and the surrounding region killed 10 people and wounded others. He said the attack targeted an event in the Bucha district and announced that criminal investigations had been opened. He also reported strikes on communities in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy and Odesa regions.

The president said Ukrainian military and government officials had met to strengthen protections for cities, rural areas, southern regions and critical infrastructure. Officials are also updating plans to safeguard grain exports, diversify trade routes and secure fuel supplies for the domestic market.

Zelenskyy called on international partners to prioritize air-defense assistance and said Ukraine was preparing for talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration. He also claimed that Russia was preparing a new wave of mobilization for the fall, saying Moscow intended to expand its war despite continued battlefield losses.
