NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang visited the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, on July 23 to commission an NVIDIA DGX GB300 system, bringing the artificial intelligence platform online at the U.S. military’s graduate university. The system will support students, researchers and faculty at the institution, which focuses on advanced education and research for the U.S. defense community. NVIDIA described the DGX GB300 as one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms. The company said the installation is intended to expand access to advanced computing capabilities for academic and defense-related research at the school. The announcement was made through the NVIDIA Newsroom. The company did not provide additional technical specifications or details about the system’s research applications in the release.
