A 62-year-old Palmwoods woman was critically injured after a car crashed into a tree on Woombye Palmwoods Road on the morning of July 23, Queensland Police said. Initial investigations indicate the grey Suzuki Ignis crashed shortly before 10 a.m. The woman, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in critical condition. The road was closed for about an hour before reopening. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, and police are seeking witnesses or anyone with relevant vision.
