Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia is relying heavily on ballistic missiles as part of its war strategy, arguing that the weapons help sustain President Vladimir Putin’s belief in continuing the conflict.

In an address published July 19, Zelenskyy said Kyiv and the surrounding region were the main targets of a Russian attack. He said Russian forces had spent several days preparing for the strike and stockpiling missiles.

Zelenskyy warned that the threat remains active and urged continued attention to the possibility of further attacks. The remarks were published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
