A fatal collision early this morning between two vehicles in Mulara, located between Rockhampton and Yeppoon, has claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman and left a man injured. The Forensic Crash Unit of Queensland Police is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on Yeppoon Road. A white Polestar 2, driven by a 23-year-old man from Yeppoon, was traveling west when it collided head-on with an eastbound brown Ford Territory wagon. The impact was severe, resulting in critical injuries to the Ford’s driver, a 29-year-old woman from Zilzie, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Polestar sustained minor injuries and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital for treatment. It has been confirmed that there were no passengers in either vehicle at the time of the crash.
