Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have successfully charged a 28-year-old man from Jamboree Heights in connection with a series of property crimes at industrial sites in Yatala and Stapylton, Queensland. The arrest followed extensive investigations into unlawful activities reported on July 6 and 5, according to the Queensland Police Service. The initial call led officers to a development site on Telford Circuit in Yatala, where they found the site’s front gate damaged and several individuals illegally stripping copper from air-conditioning units, power boxes, and switchboards. A thorough search uncovered various suspected stolen items hidden under a tarp, including power tools and copper cabling, none of which belonged to the site. Authorities also apprehended a suspect inside a stolen Isuzu D-Max utility vehicle during the operation. The vehicle search further revealed additional stolen property and items pertinent to the crime. Further investigations connected the arrested individual to another incident involving a break-in at an industrial construction site on Christensen Road South in Stapylton. Here, the offenders had forced entry into two storage containers, stealing construction equipment and unlawfully using a company utility vehicle. The charges laid against the suspect include three counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of entering premises to commit an indictable offence, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of used utensils or pipes, and unauthorized possession of explosives. The accused is scheduled to make a court appearance at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 27. As part of Queensland Police’s Operation Yankee Forge, ongoing efforts continue to target high-harm and high-volume offenses across the state, focusing on enhancing community safety and reducing crime through coordinated police actions. Queensland Police urge anyone with information on suspicious activities to report via Policelink or anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Logan Hit by Vehicle Theft Spree
