Police in Queensland are currently investigating a series of vehicle thefts that occurred in Logan on the night of July 7, 2026. The suspect, an unidentified man, is reported to have stolen multiple vehicles, beginning with a confrontation at a service station on Chambers Flat Road, Park Ridge. The initial theft occurred around 8 PM when the suspect, armed with a knife, demanded the keys to a Mazda from a 19-year-old woman. The woman managed to escape to safety inside the service station and was unharmed. Shortly after, the assailant targeted a 44-year-old man in a silver Ford Falcon at the same location, using the knife to force the man out before fleeing in his vehicle. The stolen Ford Falcon was later involved in a three-vehicle collision around 8:20 PM on Chambers Flat Road in Marsden. No serious injuries were reported from the accident. The suspect then abandoned the Ford and continued his spree on foot, assaulting a 33-year-old man sitting in a grey Nissan X-Trail at a nearby shopping centre car park, and subsequently fleeing in the Nissan. The victim of this assault was transported to Logan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect remains at large, and police are urging anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
