Two teenage boys, aged 17 and 14, have been formally charged following their alleged involvement in a series of property offences in Wynnum West and Capalaba, Queensland. The incidents occurred on July 1, and the charges were laid the following day by the Queensland Police Service. Early in the morning, the duo reportedly used a stolen blue Toyota Fortuner to ram a garage door at a residence on Wirra Circuit, Wynnum West. They entered the property briefly before fleeing the scene. Later that evening, the same teenagers attempted to break into a home on Fanfare Place in Capalaba, this time armed with a knife. Police successfully located and arrested the pair shortly before 11 pm in the stolen vehicle. The charges against them include unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted entry of a dwelling while armed, wilful damage, trespass, and disguising with intent to commit an indictable offence. They are scheduled to appear in Cleveland Children’s Court today. The Queensland Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact Policelink or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers. This case is part of Operation Yankee Forge, a six-month initiative aimed at reducing high-harm and high-volume crimes across the state.
