A tragic traffic accident in West Woombye has claimed the life of a 43-year-old man from Mapleton, Queensland. The incident occurred late Saturday night on Blackall Range Road.

According to the Queensland Police Service, the accident happened at approximately 11:50 PM when a black Audi A6 sedan, driven by the sole occupant, veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
