Detectives from the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch concluded their probe into a distressing armed robbery in Capalaba, charging two men for their involvement. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours of June 19, involved a violent break-in at a local residence. According to police reports, the suspects allegedly entered a home between 1 and 3 am, assaulted the 51-year-old male resident, and forcibly took multiple items. Remarkably, the victim remained uninjured despite the ordeal. Authorities swiftly responded to the incident, apprehending the suspects the next day at a Holland Crescent location. A 20-year-old from Capalaba faces multiple charges, including possession of dangerous drugs, handling tainted property, and armed robbery with violence. His accomplice, a 22-year-old also from Capalaba, is similarly charged with drug possession, electronic data interference, and multiple other offenses related to the robbery and previous bail breaches. Both men are currently held in custody, with a court appearance scheduled at Cleveland Magistrates Court on August 20.
