Two young boys have been charged with multiple serious offenses following a series of property crimes across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Logan, Queensland Police reported. The charges come after a thorough investigation by the Upper Mount Gravatt Crime Team into incidents that occurred on June 11 and 12. The police allege that the boys, armed with machetes, were involved in break-ins, vehicle thefts, and stealing offenses across multiple locations. They reportedly utilized stolen vehicles, including a Honda Civic, a Santa Fe, and a Lexus, to carry out their crimes. The offenses include burglary, robbery, and the dangerous operation of a vehicle. A 15-year-old from Logan Central faces an extensive list of charges including five counts of attempting to enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offense while armed, and multiple counts of burglary and vehicle theft. Similarly, a 14-year-old boy from the same area faces charges under the same categories. Both have been remanded in custody and are scheduled for a court appearance at Brisbane Children’s Court on June 23.
