Police in Forest Lake are actively investigating a daring daylight robbery at a jewelry store this morning, June 9th. According to the Queensland Police Service, the incident occurred at approximately 9:45 AM on Forest Lake Boulevard.

An initial report detailed how an unidentified man breached the store’s security, leaping over the counter and shattering the display cabinets with a hammer. The assailant swiftly collected various items of merchandise before escaping on foot. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during this brazen act.

Authorities describe the suspect as a man in his 30s or 40s with an Islander appearance. He was last seen wearing a yellow high-visibility shirt, beige pants, and gloves. The police have issued an appeal for witnesses and are requesting that anyone in possession of CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the area come forward to assist with the investigation.
