European Parliament is set to host a comprehensive press briefing on the upcoming plenary session scheduled for May 18-21, 2026. The briefing will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at 11:00 AM in the Anna Politkovskaya press room in Brussels, and will also be accessible via Interactio online platform.

Key topics slated for discussion during next week’s session include the inaugural European Order of Merit ceremony, a final vote aimed at enhancing the screening of foreign investments to protect EU’s strategic sectors, and debates on the single market, EU’s cybersecurity, the Middle East crises, and the Commission’s Fertilizers Action Plan. A special segment titled “This is Europe” will feature Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa.
