A 23-year-old man faces multiple charges following a high-speed police chase involving a stolen Audi in Brisbane on April 18, according to Queensland Police. The incident, which spanned several key routes including the Centenary Motorway, ended with the deployment of a tire deflation device by the police.

The chase started after police tracked the grey Audi S3, reported stolen from Logan Central earlier that day, through Ipswich, Centenary, and Inner West areas. Although the vehicle was eventually stopped near Milton’s on-ramp, the suspect attempted to flee on foot into nearby bushland. However, he was apprehended shortly after without further incident.

The Oakey man now faces charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evading police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, wilful damage, fraud, and unlicensed driving. He is slated to appear before the Richlands Magistrates Court on April 20. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist by contacting Policelink or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
