A devastating two-vehicle collision occurred this morning in the Central Highlands near Dingo, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The crash involved a grey Toyota Landcruiser and a white Toyota RAV4 and took place on the Capricorn Highway around 7:10 AM.

According to the Queensland Police Service, the driver of the RAV4, a 52-year-old man from Northern Territory, died at the scene. His passenger, a 47-year-old woman, also from Northern Territory, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The occupants of the Landcruiser, a 38-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy, received treatment at the scene and were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
