President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine recently engaged in various diplomatic activities and honored Ukrainian heroes in a series of events. In a phone call with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, they discussed strategic cooperation and future plans. Additionally, Zelenskyy congratulated Pope Leo XIV on his election to the See of Saint Peter, expressing gratitude for his support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

Furthermore, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, announced the launch of one hundred Ukrainian-language audio guides at major cultural landmarks around the world, including the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg, South Africa. The guides aim to promote Ukrainian culture and heritage globally.

During a ceremony, President Zelenskyy presented state awards to the Heroes of Ukraine and posthumously awarded the Orders of the Golden Star to the families of fallen warriors, recognizing their sacrifices for the country. The President emphasized the importance of honoring and supporting the brave individuals who have served Ukraine.

Despite ongoing Russian shelling and assaults, Ukraine continues to advocate for diplomacy and a ceasefire. Addressing the lack of a clear response from Russia to ceasefire proposals, Zelenskyy expressed readiness to engage with international partners to address the conflict. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, also coordinated ceasefire efforts with European partners in a diplomatic initiative.
