A 32-year-old Kallangur man has been charged following a traffic crash in Aspley on October 15, Queensland Police said. No one was inside the parked vehicle involved in the collision.

Police allege that about 8:30 p.m., a white Ford Territory was travelling west on Robinson Road West when it lost control and struck a parked grey Toyota LandCruiser. The driver allegedly left the scene before returning a short time later, when he was taken into custody.

The man faces six charges, including dangerous operation of a vehicle while allegedly affected by an intoxicating substance, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to provide a breath specimen, wilful damage and two counts of failing to comply with duties imposed on a driver involved in a crash.

He was granted bail and is due to appear in Sandgate Magistrates Court on November 5. Police said investigations remain ongoing.
