Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed the intensifying Russian strikes on Ukraine during a meeting in Brussels, according to the Ukrainian president’s official website. Zelenskyy said 52 people had been injured in attacks on Oct. 15.

Zelenskyy said Russian forces were using Shahed drones “almost constantly.” He said strikes during the day had hit a store, a pharmaceutical plant and logistics facilities.

Tusk expressed condolences to Ukraine and reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to providing assistance. Zelenskyy thanked the Polish government and people for their continued support in helping Ukraine defend against Russian attacks.

The leaders also reviewed existing threats and possible steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses. Zelenskyy thanked Tusk for Poland’s position on sanctions, saying measures should not assist Russia in continuing the war.
