Queensland police have charged two 18-year-old men over an alleged stolen vehicle and multiple unlawful entries in the Gladstone area. Police allege the men entered vehicles at several properties in New Auckland and Telina between the afternoon of October 5 and the morning of October 6. Items allegedly stolen included cash, keys, wallets, bank cards and AirPods. The men are also accused of stealing a white Toyota C-HR station wagon from a property in Connolly Court, Telina. The vehicle was later found in Toolooa. Both men, from Toolooa and South Gladstone, were charged with five counts of entering premises and committing an indictable offence by break, as well as one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. The Toolooa man was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Gladstone Magistrates Court on October 14. The South Gladstone man is due to appear in court on October 19. The arrests were made as part of Operation Yankee Forge, a Queensland-wide initiative targeting vehicle theft, unlawful entry and other high-harm offences.
