Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on Oct. 10, discussing Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and continued international support for Kyiv.

According to a statement published on the Ukrainian president’s official website, Zelenskyy thanked Støre and the Norwegian people for their support and willingness to provide further assistance. He said new measures were needed to prevent Russia from believing it could prolong the conflict indefinitely.

Zelenskyy also briefed Støre on Russian attacks that Ukraine said had continued throughout the day. The two leaders agreed to maintain coordination and are preparing future meetings and joint decisions, the statement said.
