Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy honored victims of a Russian missile strike on a five-story apartment building in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. The overnight attack on Oct. 7 killed 22 people, including five children, according to the Ukrainian presidential office. Zelenskyy and Lammy also visited injured residents receiving treatment at a local hospital, where the president thanked medical professionals assisting those affected by the attack. In a separate phone call, Zelenskyy and European Council President António Costa discussed financial support for Ukraine and progress toward opening negotiating clusters. The presidential office also reported that 30 newly appointed judges took their oaths of office in the president’s presence. In addition, three large foster families in the Dnipro and Cherkasy regions received new homes through the Olena Zelenska Foundation’s Room for Childhood project.
