NASA and SpaceX are targeting Oct. 13 for the launch of the 35th commercial resupply mission to the International Space Station, carrying more than 6,300 pounds of supplies, equipment and scientific investigations. Liftoff is scheduled for 6:33 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

A SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft will launch aboard a Falcon 9 rocket and is scheduled to autonomously dock with the space station’s Harmony module at 11 a.m. EDT on Oct. 15. The mission will deliver the final set of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays, along with materials for research involving artificial retinas, 3D heart tissues, glass formation and brain organoids.

The Dragon spacecraft is expected to remain at the station until mid-November before returning to Earth with research samples and other time-sensitive cargo. The spacecraft will splash down off the coast of California.

NASA will begin live launch coverage at 6:15 a.m. EDT on Oct. 13, with streaming and updates available through its website and NASA+. An Oct. 8 media teleconference will preview the mission and provide an update on the return of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 mission.
