Queensland police have charged three people with a combined 97 drug-related offences following separate investigations across the South Brisbane district. Police allege a 50-year-old Annerley woman was found with drugs during a traffic interception on Logan Road, Holland Park, on September 2. A subsequent search of an Edmonstone Street address in South Brisbane allegedly uncovered Suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia and cash. The woman faces 40 charges, including drug possession, trafficking and offences relating to property allegedly obtained through drug activity. She is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 28. A 38-year-old Highgate Hill woman was also arrested during the South Brisbane search. Police allege officers seized GHB, GBL, heroin, methylamphetamine, clonazepam and cash. She has been charged with 42 offences, including supplying and trafficking dangerous drugs, and is scheduled to appear on September 28. In a separate incident on September 4, police intercepted a Mazda sedan on Jackson Road, Sunnybank Hills. A 36-year-old Lower Beechmont man allegedly fled on foot before being detained and returning a positive drug test. He faces 15 charges, including drug possession, supply and possessing items for use in the commission of a crime. He is due before Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 7.
