Four men have been charged after police allege they forced entry into a home in Currajong, Townsville, and one occupant was assaulted on August 23.

Queensland Police said the incident occurred at about 1:45 p.m. at a Hammett Street property. A 31-year-old man was allegedly assaulted but did not require medical treatment.

Officers allegedly found all four men inside the home. A 23-year-old Roseneath man, a 30-year-old Pallarenda man, a 38-year-old Nome man and a 44-year-old Jensen man were each charged with entering a dwelling and committing an offence.

All four men were refused police bail. The three younger men were due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on August 25, while the Jensen man is expected to return to court on September 15. Investigations remain ongoing.
