Three Boys Charged Over Labrador Robbery

Queensland police have charged three teenage boys over the alleged assault and robbery of a rideshare driver whose vehicle was stolen at Labrador on July 21.

Police allege three males entered the 26-year-old driver’s vehicle on Marine Parade at about 1 a.m. and forced him out before chasing and assaulting him. The group allegedly stole his mobile phone and a white 2018 Toyota Corolla. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital, while the vehicle was located shortly afterward on Bath Street.

A 16-year-old Nerang boy and a 14-year-old Labrador boy were charged earlier this month with offences including robbery in company using personal violence and entering premises to commit an indictable offence. The Labrador boy was also charged with possessing utensils. Both were scheduled to appear at the Southport Children’s Court.

A 15-year-old Parkwood boy was arrested and charged on August 17 with robbery in company using personal violence and entering premises to commit an indictable offence. He was scheduled to appear at the Southport Children’s Court on August 19. Police urged anyone with information to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
