Queensland police have charged a second teenager over an alleged dangerous driving incident in Nambour earlier this week involving a stolen vehicle.

Police allege a white Honda Civic, reported stolen from Mudjimba, was driven erratically to Nambour on August 10 before crashing at the intersection of Coronation Avenue and Carroll Street at about 8:40 a.m. A 15-year-old boy was arrested nearby and initially charged with six offences. He has since faced additional charges, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court on September 9.

A second 15-year-old boy from Image Flat has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company and has been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act. Investigations remain ongoing, and police are appealing for information.
