NASA+ programming is expanding to discovery+ and HBO Max, giving viewers additional ways to watch live coverage, special events and educational content about the agency’s missions. NASA announced Aug. 10 that a continuous NASA+ live channel is now available on discovery+, while HBO Max will carry selected events, including the Artemis III mission planned for 2027. The programming will be available in Dolby Vision on supported devices, offering enhanced color, contrast and image detail. NASA said future coverage could include science mission launches, rendezvous and docking tests involving human landing systems, robotic lunar deliveries and crewed Artemis missions to the Moon. NASA+ will remain free and ad-free through the NASA app and the agency’s website. Rebecca Sirmons, NASA+ general manager, said the expanded distribution supports the agency’s mandate to share its space exploration activities with a broad audience. The streaming agreements come as NASA outlines plans to increase the frequency of Artemis missions and pursue the development of a lunar base. The agency said the partnerships will make its mission coverage and educational programming available across more devices and platforms.
