Motorcyclist Dies in Elaman Creek Crash

A 64-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a vehicle towing a caravan on Maleny Kenilworth Road at Elaman Creek on August 9, Queensland Police said. The crash occurred at about 10 a.m.

Initial investigations indicate the motorcycle, a BMW G650GS, collided with a Toyota LandCruiser travelling in the opposite direction. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The occupants of the LandCruiser were not physically injured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact police, quoting reference number QP2601543920.
